Founded in 1971, Family Central, Inc. (FCI) began as an organization that determined eligibility for preschoolers needing subsidized childcare in an effort to empower working poor families. During its 48 years, FCI has grown into a multi-faceted social service agency serving 18,000 South Florida children annually. FCI and its dedicated team of professionals serve the community via comprehensive family strengthening, early learning initiatives, a child care food and nutrition program implemented in over 250 childcare centers, and educational training services in South Florida.
