Join the BCA family
If you are looking for a Christian based school with small class size BCA may be for you. We offer a small but meaningful Kindergarten class of a max of 10 students. This provides us with the luxury to teach each individual child and meet them where they are. Kindergarten can be the very first steps in your child’s academic career, we want them to have a successful beginning so they can have a remarkable end.
At BCA we aim to teach our Kindergarten students above grade level reading and comprehension skills. Each school year our students score well in their school readiness test and are reading beyond grade level. Academic progress isn’t our only marker for success. Part of having a love for school and learning is instilling confidence, resilience, and problem solving. If students can be confident in their ability to grasp difficult concepts and learning material they will use that confidence to guide them through their academic career.
Every day you can expect your child to have circle time, which focuses on the community of the class, individual learning activities, and outside time. From the time they walk in the door to the time they leave, the learning doesn’t stop. In addition to instructional hours, BCA also offers special events throughout the school year like our annual Christmas Pageant, Dr. Seuss Parade, or our Multicultural Festival. This is how we bring our families into the school to participate in the BCA spirit. These special events bring a sense of community to our school and give us a way to meet and reconnect with our families. At the end of the school year we have our Kindergarten Graduation where we bid farewell to our students.

GO Math! is a new comprehensive Kindergarten-Grade 6 mathematics program developed to support the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. The program emphasizes the Critical Areas and depth of understanding through interactive lessons, research-based instructional approaches, best practices from around the world, and differentiated instructional resources to ensure success for all students.

Communication & Safety
BCA believes in a strong parent teacher communication and relationship for the success of each student. We try our best to keep lines of communication open for all of our parents questions and concerns. We use a communication app called “KidsReports” to communicate daily reports. Each day you will receive a daily report which shows what your child learned, participated in, and enjoyed. This is also the best way to communicate with your child’s teacher. Our parents love receiving pictures and videos of their little ones dancing, doing a craft, or enjoying their yummy lunch.
Due to COVID restrictions no parents are allowed inside our facility. All drop off and pick up will be done outside under our canopy. We have been working hard to keep the health of our students and staff as a top priority. We do that through DAILY cleaning and disinfecting of toys and high touch surface areas. Every night BCA has a cleaning company come in and to a deep clean of all surfaces. We have supplies in baggies labeled for each child for minimal cross contamination and encourage social distancing between our students whenever possible. Please know that all Kindergarten students will be required to wear a mask.

Everyday students will have a devotional based on the week’s theme. A foundation in God and the Bible is imperative to a child’s development and we are proud to offer lessons not just for our children but for our families. Please check out our resource page to see what the Chapel topic is for the week and ways to continue biblical teaching in the home.
Every Friday students will also participate in Chapel. This is a special time when all of the classes come together to discuss the bible topic for the week. Staff members from the Broward Church or Administrative office will come and do a fun & interactive devotional for the students. Props, songs, reenactments are all things you can expect to find from our Friday Chapel time. Parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters are welcome to attend!

Meet Ms. Debbie
Broward Christian Academy, formally known as Foundations Christian Academy, has been a part of the community in Davie for more than 15 years. We love working side by side with families in the progress of their children. It is our vision to be a supplement to parents in the development of their spiritual growth, academic enrichment, and social-emotional skills. Ms. Debbie has been a part of that goal and vision for almost 9 years. She has worked in our VPK program, Elementary program, and now as our Kindergarten teacher. She is passionate about the development of each child in her class and is intentional in making sure no child is left behind. As a mother of 6, yes 6, she has taken her skills and used it to make our Kindergarten classroom what it is today- a safe space for each child that walks in, a place where learning is fun and interactive, and centered on the love of God. Ms. Debbie is also a member of the Broward Church which is one of the benefits of our school. The ministry/school connection doesn’t just come from sharing the same building but a true bridge from ministry to academy.
